BCS SilverGuard Wands

BCS
Every SilverGuard Wand contains a microprocessor which is connected to the “read head” and “write head” of the wand. The security guard must use the correct type of SilverGuard Wand, depending on the type of Checkpoint/Incident/Guard Media Tag to be scanned with the wand. For the Touch Memory iButton, the guard must use the SG5/SG1 or SG4T SilverGuard Wand. For the HiTag/Unique World Tag, the guard must use the SG6/SG3 or SG4P SilverGuard Wand. For barcodes, the guard must use the SGB4 SilverGuard Wand.

When the guard touches the read head of the wand to the Checkpoint/ Incident/Guard Media Tag, the date, time and unique serial number of the Media Tag or barcode is recorded in the memory of the wand. By placing the wand in a “Data Transfer Station” that is attached to a Modem, Printer or Computer, various reports can be generated. These reports display the activities of the guard, including missed checkpoints, if any. By using an “Incident Pad” with digits (0-9) inscribed on the Touch Memory Buttons, the SG5/SG1, SG6/SG3 or SG4 SilverGuard Wand is also capable of storing “Incidents” such as “door left open,” “window broken,” etc., which are then displayed in various reports.

The SilverGuard Wands (SG1, SG5, SG6, SG3 and SG4) are proprietary and patented products of Brooklyn Computer Systems Inc.
